Of wind and rain
63
Of wind and rain, my soul is made
Of hearty sand and salt
The wind has often carried many pieces of my heart
For softly, myself, I have confessed
To the breezes across my inlet
My ocean, she has my every secret kept
I feared not I would be found out
She listens intently, she listens my dear
She washes away the hurt and keeps my mind clear
I am absolved by her movements
I am enlightened by her force
I am but a small ship, sailing her course
Of wind and rain my soul is made
I am melting into her tide
It is in her flow I feel no reason, no reason at all to hide
She brings me to this solace, this feeling of peace she gives
So utterly at peace I be, its on this coast I feel I have lived
Of wind and rain my soul is made.

let the wind and rain carry me far far away into your hubdelicious world of soul searching and profound sentiment. This is as pure as poetry gets.
I live very near the Gulf of Mexico, and while we have much more sun than rain we do get our fair share of stormy weather. The sand, and salt, and ocean breeze are a favorite refuge of mine and you've brought to life beautiful imagery of another coastline for me to enjoy through my mind's eye.
Aw I've missed this one. Absolutely beautiful. Felt how much you love this person. Soul and heart, heart and soul. So lucky is the ocean whenever you float..
Amazing!
Enigmatic me , this is a beautiful piece of work. It evokes serenity and peace in me and makes me wish to live nearby the ocean and experience the delights of being close to the coast!
Thank you for sharing!
I love your words and can relate to this powerful connection. I get to the coast as often as I can and its not enough because,
"She washes away the hurt and keeps my mind clear"
Her therapy is far superior to any psychologist's services.
Beautiful words of a deep soul connection, my votes to you Enigmatic Me, and sharing.

Background to this, I lived on the coast of Newfoundland for most my life, 200 feet from the ocean. I spent much time on my little shore clearing my mind, solving the problems of my world by skimming rocks off the open water.
